Request a Training
Requests for training for departments, schools, colleges, or student groups are welcome. The team supports university activities and all efforts are made to accommodate training needs and requests. Types of trainings which can be requested are Emergency Preparedness, De-Escalation, Active Threat, and Personal Safety.
UO students, faculty, staff, and departments can also request a risk consultation or training session related to insurance and risk management.

Occupational Health and Safety
Heat illness occurs when heat exposure exceeds the physiological capacity of the body to cool itself. This results in an increase in the core body temperature that can produce a range of heat-related symptoms, from treatable heat cramps to heat stroke.
University employees use many different types of ladders to conduct their work. This course covers the set-up, safe use and inspection of many different types of ladders: fixed ladders, extension ladders, step ladders and orchard ladders.
